Mimicry

Mimcry is an interactive projection that detects people and displays interactive light patterns in response to their presence. The installation studies embodied discourse on how humans use their bodies to move and communicate. In the deliberate dissolution between participant and audience, Mimicry open up entirely new terrains of creative engagement.

While the installation is suitable for a single user, when multiple users are present a new dynamic emerges between people. A user-to-user interaction is born when the users start playing with each other, working collaboratively to create shared artwork.
